Privilege Pay Opt-In
Important Information regarding the Privilege Pay Overdraft Service for your Debit Card transactions
For those who are already approved for Privilege Pay Overdraft Service on personal accounts (does not affect business accounts), as of July 1, 2010 WECU is unable to cover overdrafts that occur when using your debit card unless you have opted in to our Privilege Pay Overdraft Service. If you need cash from the ATM or are purchasing groceries with your debit card but do not have the funds in your account to cover the transaction, would you like WECU to cover the transaction? If your answer is yes, please take the time to complete and return the Overdraft Opt-In form located here.
If you consent by submitting this form to WECU, you will experience no change to the Privilege Overdraft Service that you currently have and will continue to enjoy the convenience of our overdraft service.
If you do not complete an Overdraft Opt-In form, we assume that you are opting-out of Privilege Pay Overdraft Service. When you do not have enough money in your account, we will deny your debit card purchases or cash withdrawals at ATMs.
Even if you don't utilize WECU's Privilege Pay Overdraft Service often, consider how vital it could be in emergency situations. Few of us ever plan to overdraw our accounts, but in an emergency situation; whether you're booking a last minute flight or paying for an important medication when your checking account is a little short, WECU's Privilege Pay Overdraft Service is indispensible and there when you need it!
The Overdraft Opt-In form has more details about our overdraft services, but if you have questions or concerns about this information, please do not hesitate to contact us via InfoGuy, call us at 360.676.1168 or stop by one of our branches. We want to ensure you can utilize our Privilege Pay Overdraft Service when you truly need it.
