Social Responsibility

 Our Commitment to Community
WECU has a strong commitment to the needs of our community. The Social Responsibility Committee (SRC) oversees our monetary donations and participation in projects. The committee’s emphasis is to support education, health and community concerns. Requests that fall outside of those areas will also be reviewed. We will actively seek projects that are identified as a strong need in our community, e.g. violence, homelessness, drug abuse. Requests are reviewed quarterly by the Social Responsibility Committee, who makes recommendations to the board of directors for approval on projects that align with the committee’s goals to benefit our community. If you would like more information, please contact the committee by e-mailing Kari Olson: social.responsibility@wecu.com.

Reid Frederick (above) - Social Responsibility Representative, works with various non-profits and schools to promote financial literacy and the credit union movement.
