Wire Transfers

All WECU members can send a wire at the low cost of $10. There are no incoming fees for incoming wires sent to your WECU account. For more information on the procedures/requirements for sending a wire, please select from this list:

Timing

In order for a wire to be sent out the same business day, we must receive your wire request (in full) by 1:00 in the afternoon.

How to Request a Wire
  • Come to any branch during  business hours
  • Contact the WECU  Call Center
  • In order to protect account security we are not
    able to accept wire transfer requests by email.

Fees

There is a fee of $10 per transfer. This fee will be charged to your account along with the wire amount.

Required Information

Domestic Wire Transfer
• Sender's name, address and daytime phone number
• Sender's account number and account type*
• Receiving institution's name, branch address and 9-digit ABA routing number**
• Intermediary institution name and account number (if applicable)
• Beneficiary's name and address
• Beneficiary's account number 

Foreign Wire Transfer
IMPORTANT: WECU cannot send funds directly to a foreign institution; we must go through the foreign institution's corresponding US institution, which in turn transfers the funds on to the foreign institution.
• Sender's name, address and daytime phone number
• Sender's account number and account type*
• Receiving/correspondent institution's name, branch address and 9-digit ABA routing number**
• Intermediary institution name and account number (if applicable)
• Beneficiary's overseas institution name, branch address and account number or SWIFT code
• Beneficiary's name, address (if available) and account number or IBAN number

Recurring Wire Transfer
• Sender's name, address and daytime phone number
• Sender's account number and account type*
• Receiving/correspondent institution's name, branch address and 9-digit ABA routing number**
• Intermediary institution name and account number (if applicable)
• Beneficiary's institution name, branch address and account number or SWIFT code (if outside USA)
• Beneficiary's name, address (if available) and account number or IBAN number

* Eligible account types: Savings, Checking, Personal Line of Credit, HELOC
** Note: the receiving/correspondent institution must be located within the USA

Request & Confirmation

To initiate an outgoing wire transfer, please call our full-service call center at 360.676.1168, or toll-free at 800.525.8703. You may be required to complete and submit an outgoing wire transfer request form (click here to download this form). Please note: it is important that you speak with one of our call center representatives before completing the form.

When all of the required information has been received, you must also be available by telephone to confirm a wire transfer request. We will mail a printed confirmation with a transaction receipt once a wire has been sent.
