Register for the
First Step Visa On-Demand Course

The First Step Visa program gives young people an opportunity to learn about maintaining good credit and avoiding bad debt.

Students ages 15–19 must complete the First Step Visa On-Demand Course to qualify for a First Step Visa credit card. Parents or legal guardians are welcome to review the course material with their student, but they are not required to participate. After completing the course, students will be invited to fill out a First Step Visa application with proof of income or with a parent/legal guardian as a co-borrower. If approved, students will be issued a $300 First Step Visa credit card.

All individuals 15–19 who wish to apply for the First Step Visa must complete the on-demand course; however, young adults ages 18–19 may also be eligible to apply for other WECU credit cards without completing the on-demand course.
