Hello,
If we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, I’m Kent Bouma, the Vice President of Business Banking at WECU. We’re now more than halfway through the year, and it’s been quite a challenging one. Despite the rising interest rates and uncertain economic forecasts, we’ve observed the resilience of the small businesses in our community. Many of our members are displaying positive signs of growth, expansion, and hiring, and we’re proud to have played a role in these exciting developments.
As always, our team is working diligently. Our commitment lies in supporting small businesses, as they form the backbone of this community. We firmly believe in delivering cost-effective banking solutions tailored to the specific needs of small businesses. Recently, we have revamped our business account offerings. From our “Serve” accounts designed for nonprofits to our “Savvy” accounts tailored for businesses with more intricate needs, we’re fully prepared to provide the solutions our members require.
Over the past couple of years, we have also placed a stronger focus on assisting local businesses in enhancing efficiency through the utilization of cash management tools. Whether it involves automating payments, fees, and collections through direct pay or optimizing returns on every dollar with automated sweeps, our team and tools have aided numerous businesses in becoming more organized and streamlined. You can find information about these tools and more here.
As we approach the conclusion of 2023, we want you to be aware that we’re here to support you. Our goal is to serve our members and do everything within our capacity to help your business flourish. If there’s any way our team can be of assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
On behalf of the Business Banking team, I want to extend our gratitude for your membership. Your trust in WECU is both valued and never taken for granted, and it truly has a meaningful impact.
Best regards,
Kent Bouma
