The Office of the Washington State Auditor (SAO) announced today that 1.6 million Washington residents who filed for unemployment between January 1 and December 10 of 2020 have had their Name, SSN, and banking information compromised due to a system breach. At this time, SAO has determined that data files from the Employment Security Division (ESD) were impacted.
This breach could impact WECU membership in different ways. If you see unauthorized checks clearing your account, unusual incoming checks, if you receive benefits under a different name, or any other suspicious activity, please contact us immediately at 800-525-8703.
