Free Educational Seminars

Seminars hosted by WECU are free and open to the general public. Reservations are required. Below is a list of upcoming seminars.

First-Time Homebuyer

  • Date: Friday, July 12th, 2019

Whether you’re just dreaming about your first home or ready to apply for a loan, it never hurts to talk with an expert. Join WECU’s Real Estate department, Tracie Gulit from Windermere Real Estate Services, and Adam Morvee from Ground Up Inspection Services LLC for an overview of the home buying process and tips to set you on your path to home ownership. Speakers will cover the mortgage loan process, down payments, closing costs, titles, appraisals and more. This presentation is intended for first-time home buyers but is also a great refresher for anyone who is considering a move in the future.

WECU Student Visa

  • Date: Tuesday, July 16th, 2019
  • Time: 06:00 PM – 07:30 PM

This program provides young people with an opportunity to learn about money management and maintaining good credit.

Students 16 and 17 years old are required to attend the Student Visa Seminar in order to qualify for a Student Visa, and we strongly encourage legal guardians or parent(s) to attend with them. Upon successful completion of the Student Visa Seminar and either a completed application with proof of income or parent/legal guardian as co-borrower, students are issued a $250 Student Visa which is good until age 21.

Young adults age 18 and older are welcome to attend the seminar as well. Applications for other Visa products will also be made available at the end of the seminar. Visit our credit cards page for card details.

Estate Planning 101
