Save the Difference®

Kick Start Your Savings With Save the Difference

Save the Difference helps you effortlessly save money! With the Save the Difference program, when you use your WECU® Visa Debit card for signature or PIN transactions WECU® will round up the transaction amount to the next dollar. Between 7-7:30 pm each night we will transfer the total difference from all of your transactions for the day to the savings account you designate when you enroll in the program.

Funds will not be transferred from your checking if you do not have enough to cover the transaction and we will not assess overdrafts on Save the Difference transfers. Your statement will show your year to date Save the Difference total which you can also review in E-Max.

You can enroll in Save the Difference in E-Max or over the phone at 360.676.1168.

To enroll in E-Max:

  • Log into E-Max and select 'More Options'.
  • Go to the 'Save the Difference' option.
  • Any open checking accounts should appear as possible 'Source Accounts'.
  • Check the Enroll Box under the checking account you would like to enroll.
  • Under 'Receiving Account' use the pull down menu to designate which savings account you would like your Save the Difference funds transferred into and click 'ok'.
