WECU is the proud presenting sponsor for the 43rd annual Birch Bay Polar Bear Plunge. Join us in making history on January 1st, 2026, when thousands in Birch Bay attempt the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for Largest Polar Bear Dip!

The current world record of 2,461 participants was set in Most, Czech Republic on March 1, 2025. Birch Bay’s Polar Bear Plunge is expected to draw thousands of participants and spectators, with hopes of shattering the record and making history.

The plunge happens at 12:00pm sharp! Hang out after for a celebration, including live music, warming tent, hot cocoa, and afterparty at Beach Cat!
