One for you, one for all!

Every time WECU members swiped their debit cards from October 2019 through December 2019, they earned a penny. And for every penny earned by our members, we donated a penny to great local causes throughout Whatcom County. Together, we made a difference during the 2019 holiday season.

December pennies have been counted. 

WECU members earned $14,982.66. Then, WECU matched these pennies to donate another $14,982.66 to local organizations working to address a recent childcare shortage in our community. December’s recipients were Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County, Whatcom County YMCA, and the Bellingham Schools Foundation.

All in all, WECU members swiped 4,305,446 times, which meant $43,054.46 was given back to our members and $43,054.46 was donated to our community. That’s a grand total of $86,108.92!
