Request Team WECU

Team WECU is the centerpiece of the credit union’s community volunteer program. Team WECU promotes active giving, staff volunteerism, and offers the tools for our employees to rally together to support needs throughout Whatcom County.

If you would like Team WECU participation in an event, please complete the form below. If possible, submit your request at least three months in advance of the event.

Team WECU Guidelines

1. All groups requesting Team WECU volunteers must complete the form below.
2. WECU will only consider a request from one of the following:
   1. Tax-exempt groups recognized under IRS 501(c)(3) guidelines
   2. Groups recognized by the Secretary of State (WA) as nonprofit
   3. Local groups operating in Whatcom County
3. Requests must:
   1. Be for a single volunteer commitment of 2-3 hours (with the option of 2 shifts)
   2. Fall on a Saturday or Sunday
4. WECU will not consider requests for groups:
   • With factious or religious purposes
   • To promote or publicize a certain cause, shape elections, or law creation
   • That may create dispute or friction among WECU members
