BELLINGHAM, WA (May 10, 2024) — WECU and the Bellingham Bells are happy to announce a four-year extension of their partnership. WECU Diamond at Joe Martin Field will continue into the 2027 season and bring new and continued benefits to WECU members and Bells fans, including a new WECU Family Fun Area and continued ticket discounts for WECU members at all Bells home games.

As part of this extended partnership, we’re excited to introduce the new WECU Family Fun Area at Joe Martin Field, debuting in 2024. This area, nestled along the grassy hill, will feature exciting activities for kids including a bounce house, inflatable games, and a make-your-own baseball card craft section. It will be open for enjoyment during all Bells home games, adding an extra layer of excitement to the ballpark experience.

WECU will also continue to provide scholarships for the Bells youth camps and sponsor an annual WECU Member Night at the Bells that will include a post-game fireworks show.

WECU’s featured fireworks night game is set for August 3rd, 2024, against the Victoria HarbourCats. WECU is also sponsoring an Opening Day pin giveaway on May 31st, 2024 against the Edmonton Riverhawks.

A returning feature of the previous agreement is the discount for WECU Members. WECU members can buy one general admission ticket and get one free when they present their WECU card at the box office during the regular season.

“WECU is thrilled to continue our partnership with the Bellingham Bells, a cherished institution in our community,” said Keith Mader, Director PR at WECU. “This extension allows us to further our commitment to providing enjoyable experiences for WECU Members and Bells fans alike. We look forward to another four years of supporting our community through the joy of baseball at Joe Martin Field.”

This extended partnership reflects WECU and the Bellingham Bells’ commitment to providing top-notch experiences for fans in Whatcom County.

“WECU is not just a place to bank; it’s a trusted cornerstone within our community,” said Hayley McGee, Bell’s Marketing and Operations Coordinator. “We are immensely grateful for their ongoing support and eagerly anticipate the exciting years of collaboration that lay ahead.”
