BELLINGHAM (July 20, 2023) – WECU invites its members to join in Member Appreciation Week festivities planned for July 21 through 29.

“As a financial cooperative, we do not have owners or shareholders, we have members. Everything we do is for our membership, and this week is about celebrating them,” said Keith Mader, Program Manager PR & Content at WECU.

There are daily events planned beginning July 21.

Friday, July 21 – Free outdoor movie at Bender Park in Lynden, “Super Mario Brothers” will begin at dusk, or roughly 9:15pm.

Tuesday, July 25 – Free Sugar Shack ice cream at the Mount Vernon Library for the first 100 people starting at 11 AM and Burlington Library beginning at 1 PM.

Wednesday, July 26 – Free popsicles at Downtown Sounds starting at 6 PM.

Thursday, July 27 – Free ice cream for the first 100 people at the Elizabeth Park Concert beginning at 6 PM.

Friday, July 28 – $2 off your first two pints at Fringe Brewing in Ferndale from 5-8 PM when you show your WECU debit or credit card, featuring musical artist Brittany Collins who will play from 5-7pm

Saturday, July 29– Free general admission tickets for members who show their cards at the Bells game, which starts at 6:35 pm, with fireworks to follow the game fire restrictions permitting.
