BELLINGHAM, WA (January 16, 2025) – WECU has announced a total donation of $108,539 to United Way through its 2025 workplace campaign, marking one of the largest contributions the credit union has made to the nonprofit in its history. Most of the funds were raised directly by WECU employees, reflecting a strong culture of community commitment across the organization.

“Giving back has always been part of who we are at WECU,” said Erynne Hallock, Senior Vice President of Impact at WECU. “This year’s campaign is a powerful example of our employees coming together to support the critical work United Way does to strengthen the health, education, and financial stability of our communities.”

Since 1994, WECU has conducted annual workplace campaigns, resulting in cumulative donations of more than $1.2 million to United Way. One of the highlights of the 2025 campaign was the annual employee auction, which reached new heights this year. WECU employees collaboratively created themed baskets, generously donating items sourced from local and WECU member businesses.

WECU’s continued support of United Way underscores the credit union’s long-standing commitment to community well-being and its mission to make a meaningful, positive impact in the communities it serves.
