BELLINGHAM (October 20, 2020) – WECU is partnering with Aging Well Whatcom to help address senior isolation during COVID-19. WECU employees and community members are invited to write letters to seniors that are facing high levels of social isolation.

All WECU branches, apart from except for Bellis Fair, the WECU Home Loan Center, and Business Loan Center are participating as drop-off locations for letter writers. WECU is requesting letter writers use the Night Drop.

Letter writers are asked to put the card/letter in an envelope with “Dear Friend, Pen Pal Project” written on top.

If you would like to participate, please make a card, write a letter with a child, create art, or just say “hi.”
