Starting Your Own Business Seminar

This seminar will include information regarding business formation & taxation, marketing & promotion, maximizing operating cash flow and common pitfalls during the start-up phase.  Speakers will touch on the differences between various entity types, how to start a small business in Whatcom County, and some of the most pressing issues for small business owners in Bellingham.  WECU Business Banking staff members Wade Stringfield and Jerimy Saldivar will be joined by Eric Grimstead, Certified Business Advisor for the WWU SBDC, and Gene Bell of Gene Bell & Associates.

First Time Home Buyers

Staff from WECU’s Real Estate department will present an overview of the home buying process. The presentation will include the mortgage loan process, down payments, closing costs, titles and appraisals.  This presentation is intended for first time homebuyers but is also a great refresher for anyone who is considering a move in the future.
