BELLINGHAM, WA (November 7, 2025) – WECU is stepping up to fight hunger in our community. Now through November 26, the credit union will match all donations to local food banks, up to $20,000, doubling the impact for families in need. Donations will directly support food banks across Whatcom and Skagit Counties, helping ensure that families have access to nutritious food during the holiday season and beyond.

Both WECU members and non-members are invited to participate. Donations can be made in three ways:

  • Visit any WECU branch to donate cash
  • Call the WECU Contact Center at 360-676-1168
  • Donate online at wecu.com/food-bank

Until Thanksgiving, WECU members visiting branches will be asked if they’re interested in donating the change from their transactions towards the matching campaign.

“Food banks are the backbone of our community’s response to hunger. When families face uncertainty, neighbors step up—and that’s what this effort is all about. By matching donations, we hope to make it easier for everyone to help ensure that no one goes without food this holiday season,” said Erynne Hallock, Senior Vice President of Impact at WECU.
